Ritchie Salveta Question Time

1) Why did you start Youtube ?

I started Youtube back in winter 2009, my sister was getting a new video camera for Christmas and I had just made a Youtube account, she was looking for stuff to video so I told her to video me getting my presents on Christmas day.

2) Why did you decide to keep making more videos ?

There was several reasons why I kept making them, the main reason was that I enjoyed doing them and it was a lot of fun. Also friends and family asked me to make more and then it just expanded from there
.
3) Why did you decide to start doing Covers ?

Well I was enjoying doing video blogs on different topics, quite frankly I only made about 4 videos in my first 15 months so it was more a now and then thing, I had started singing shortly after my very first video blog and since I had been practicing a bit and started putting up some covers and now I mostly sing and still do a few video blogs.

4) What's your opinion of your voice ?

I would say I'm quite good now but I don't have a very good range. I can stay in tune but I'm not very good at going high or low in most songs. I had to work hard to get a decent voice though, I'm not a natural singer. I think I have an unusual voice though, you don't hear many people saying I sound like other people.

5) You now have over 28,000 followers and 1,000 subscribers, how does that feel ?

It feels good but quite a lot of my followers follow me because I provide day to day tweets, I speak my mind. Probably only a quarter of the people on Twitter know about my Youtube. It's nice the way it has built though. I'm nearly at 100,000 Video Views which is a good number to get to.

6) You write your own songs, what inspires you when writing ?

I think I'm a better song writer than I am a singer. I mean it just seems to click when I write songs, I wrote my new single 'Out Of My Life' within 10 minutes ! Most songs only take that amount of time for me.

7) A lot of teenage girls watch your videos and follow you, do you like that ?

In ways yes but in ways no. I'm 21 but look really young so I guess it's natural for younger girls to watch me. Age doesn't bother me though, I think it's overated and doesn't define who you are as a person

8) So you get lots of female attention ?

Quite a lot of girls say I'm nice looking but I wouldn't say I get a lot of female attention. I'm just not really into going to clubs or parties where you would meet a lot of girls. It's better to just let things happen naturally.

9) Would you say your a good boyfriend ?

Good is too general a statement for that question, what I would say though is I'm honest and caring. I don't do the whole fakeness of buying my girlfriend lots of gifts. My ideal relationship would be to just have a relaxed girl who is fun to be with and genuine. I think if you end up trying to impress girls you may get more knocking on your door but maybe not because they want to be with the real you.

10) What do you do during a day ?

I don't work but I do usually keep myself busy. I go running a lot in the morning and like to go to the cinema to help me relax. I like seeing my friends and family sometimes too and I spend a lot of time with my dog.

11) What's your views on drink ?

I don't see any reason why the age limit hasn't went down to 16. Being able to marry at that age but not being able to drink just confuses me. I drink now and then but I have no problem with people who do drink loads. I use to drink quite a lot when I was younger and some of those days were really fun.

12) Your political views ?

I respect everyone's opinion on this matter but I feel we have to live in a world that's not greedy. I would make everyone equal and we all get basically the same money for working regardless if your a doctor or a cleaner. Having people being poor in the world is not fair. We could all be quite poor but still have enough to live off and have some fun, why can't we do that ?

13) Any hobbies ?

I like most sports, my main few being football, tennis, basketball and poker. I'm actually pretty good at most sports, I have always been quite natural at them
.
14) Who's your favourite football player ?

Ronaldo is my favourite as I like Man United so got to see him play a lot. I also really like Messi, he an incredible player but also just seems like an all round nice guy who appreciates things.

15) Do you have a celebrity crush ?

I think Cheryl Cole and Georgia Salpa are really gorgeous but as for dating wise I like the girl Lights and Ariana Grande

Euro 2012 Dream Team

The Sun were offering a free 'dream team' were you have the opportunity to select 11 players. You have a £50 million budget and are allowed to make transfers at certain dates throughout the tournament, I haven't decided if I will swap any players. As of right now I have a good reason for choosing every player. Due to the website not revealing who opponents have chosen, I cannot reveal my team until when scoring starts. I am really looking forward to this as it makes watching games even more enjoyable than they normally would be

Euro 2012 Prediction

Again I think Spain will succeed, I just feel they have the strongest overall squad. I think Portugal could do really well, they are in a tough group but I feel that they may get through and go pretty far.  I will try to watch as many games as I can so it's an exciting couple of weeks ahead. I think France and Italy will both struggle this year, I think with more scandals coming out a week before the tournament starts it will just upset the whole squad and although France do have some good players, I just don't see them getting a lot of results. They done well back in 2006 as they reached the final but since then both countries have showed a lot of threat. I thought England would do well in the world cup two years ago, do I think they will do well now ? The answer is no ! They have a really good squad but the problem is when they come up against the top teams they don't win games and that's where I don't think that will change.

Fitness

Still been working out like I normally do and been going longer runs. I am basically doing some sort of fitness every day and it makes you feel healthier and happier. If I had to give any tips for people who find it tough to go for a run or workout, my advice would be to focus of the benefits and then force yourself in getting into the habit of doing various exercises throughout the week, then once you are in the habit just remain focused and always give yourself new goals to keep it exciting. I am lucky that I am very motivated and actually enjoy doing something that's good for you. I will also try and get a few games of tennis in over summer, I have improved a bit at the game but still don't have a strong enough serve to be a threat.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading this and I'll be back in a few weeks time to talk to you about the WSOP.

Gone Review

Plot

Gone is a thriller starring Amanda Seyfried. The story revolves round a myseterious girl with mental health issues named Jill. She comes home from working at her bar where a regular customer tips them 5 bucks to her and her friend as he's moving up North soon. She comes home to find her sister is missing and feels it is the same guy who abducted her several years before, the movies shows back to moments of Jill getting captured. There was never any evidence to indicate Jill had went missing all those years ago so when she goes to the police they don't want anything to do with it, they feel with lack of evidence and the fact she was in a mental home for a couple of years that it's all in her mind. One rookie officer speaks privately to her and says I believe you and hands his card so she can phone him anytime. Due to nobody really helping her out as she fears for the worst she takes the law into her own hands. It becomes a suspect leads suspect vibe where she gets more clues as she goes along. She is carrying a gun with her for safety, this obviously is a worry for the police who therefore are forced to track her down. Luckily for Jill they don't catch her due to her smart nature and risk taking. After traveling and getting suspects ruled out she goes to this guys house named Jim. He is not in the house when she goes and she asks the landlord who says he had moved up North as he had a few odd jobs to take care of. It all ends up adding up that really Jim was the regular customer who gave them big tips. She manages to get his number where he denies having Jill's sister but does ask her to meet up to help her, it is pretty clear even though he did not admit it, he implied it as he is very persuasive. He tells her to meet her at an abandoned ranch, when she gets there Jills boyfriend phones to say she is home safe, Jill doesn't fall for it as he couldn't have her talk on the phone, the police where at her house at this point. This ranch is very near the forest where Jill had been taking to years before. Knowing she has to save her sisters life she goes in. When there she doesn't find her sister but she's a picture of all his victims including her which gives more flashbacks. Jim jumps out trying to stab her down the hole but she grabs her gun quickly and shoots him and climbs the rope. Jim unable to help himself pleads Jill doesn't kill him, Jill says she won't if he tells her where Molly her sister is. He tells the truth saying he had hid her under the house to lure Jill into going to the forest, Jill then says she lied and burns him to death. She reuinites with Molly back at their home and says to the police it was all in my head.

I enjoyed the movie and felt Amanda Seyfried really played the part well. It's not that scary although it is very intense. The movie also has a very good focus point throughout where you are questioning who it could have been. I personally thought it was the rookie cop until near the end as he just looked very suspicious throughout. I suggest to go and see it although if you have read my blog you might not have to.

Twitcam Live Concert Review

So last weekend I hosted a live concert through Twitcam which is an add on site to Twitter which allows you to broadcast live footage basically. I have been busy over the last week which is why I have just had the chance to do this blog now.

So yeah I decided to do one just for some fun and for people to hear some new covers which they haven't heard me sing and I also done some covers which I have previously sang. My little sis Melissa opened up for me with a couple of songs which was really cool. I sang ten songs, my favourite was probably my acoustic cover of Demi Lovato - Skyscraper. That has always been a song I thought had a really good meaning to it and Demi sings it very well but it is probably one of the songs I am best at on guitar and felt I done it some justice.

After the show I done a chat for around 20 mins just chatting about the concert and upcoming stuff. So yeah I hope you enjoyed watching it and have a good day.

Seeing The Light

To explain my meaning of my heading, it basically is meaning me myself understanding things better in terms of what I'm improving at and what I need to work harder at. I know for a fact I go off topic quite a lot, this is a good point and also a bad. The trouble with me is probably the way my brain works. I have several discussion points but they all mix into one at times so when explaning something I end up moving on when there is really no point. I guess it can also interest someone by being random and them thinking 'oh wasn't expecting that'. It may also stem from my dislike of small talk, I have always just preferred to have good conversations with people I enjoy their company with and have things to talk about in common instead of forcing a conversation. I enjoy it like that and I can also read people very well but that probably comes from playing poker way too much haha.

Youtube Editing

Youtube is such an amazing place. As most of you already know I make videos on there, my main focus is singing but video blogs is also very important to me, random funny videos from time to time is also good as they are a lot of fun making. My point today is not actually about those videos, but about the wholke editing process that goes on. It's honestly such a passion for myself to make videos. Last month I got a new camera and I feel my new videos have improved a lot. I spend loads of hours sitting editing it and it's such a blast. It's not a chore in the slightest for me. When you completely make a video it's a very good feeling as it's your piece of work and you created it. I'm still learning a lot about my new camera and the process of making top quality videos and look forward to the challenge that awaits.

Free Time

Free time is very important to me as I don't get a lot but when I do I make good use of it. Watching movies and spending time with my family and friends is something I will always make time for. I guess it helps you to have a good balance and stops you from constantly thinking. Don't get me wrong I love being busy and have lots of stuff on and using my brain but sometimes it's nice to switch off. It's always very relaxed and board games and playing sports is one of my favourites.

STOP KONY

So I was on my mobile today on Twitter and my timeline was filled with some guy known as 'Kony'. Now I just thought he was another internet sensation who made a very funny video, a couple of celebs tweeted it and it went viral, quite the opposite actually. It's basically about some guy who was involved with some organisation who made people suffer and encouraged all the sort of stuff that we see as wrong. So according to the group in charge of this video upload who are called Invisible Children, they seem to think he is the most wanted man on the planet. I only found out just like the majority of you today so I am still finding information on it too.

WILL THIS WORK

I think it could work, but it would have to be done in the correct manner. The video was a good idea to promote the guy not in a good way but in a bad way as a warning to not just him, but other criminals alike. Should America be involved ? I don't feel they would have to get involved but they may help. The main point is catching this guy first. I'm all about forgiving people but whatever you do in life you have to pay consequences for. I'm glad this group has used the internet to their advantage, I see a lot of very high profile celebs have been tweeting on the topic.

BE VOCAL

It's awesome how vocal everyone is being about up but please keep this up until he gets caught. It's obviously hard sometimes when you have a busy life but that little tweet or message out to people can make a difference. I have sent a few tweets out on it once I read up on the whole situation and understood what it was about.

Upcoming

So apart from my main topic tonight I have been very busy lately, been making new music, a few covers mainly which I will finishing and then get up soon. I'm working out again after feeling a lot better from the flu which I have had the past few weeks. Keep tuning in and thanks for reading this blog.

Nikon Camera Is Awesome

Last week I got a new video/picture camera. It actually looks so nice but has so many amazing features, it's called Nikon D5100. It's quite easy to use in 1 way but quite complicated in the way that it will take a lot of time to master the special features etc. I had been thinking of getting a new camera for months as I only had my cam on my laptop which was pretty bad quality along with a little cheap handheld one I had which was even worse, anyway I done my best with what I had at the time but now I'm glad I have the new camera. I can always use the older two for just mucking about.

My Life So Far 2012

Been quite a good start to year although been a few little moments along the way. Overall though I'm very happy with life and feel I'm becoming an even more better person as I get older.

ICE SKATING
I have been watching the programme on Itv 'Dancing On Ice' and really loved it. This is my first series where I have watched the whole way through so far and I plan on watching all of it. Anyway I'm one of those guys when I see something I like I want to try it out. I have been to ice skating the odd time but it's hard to get time as it's one of those activities where you can't just do it whenever you want. I am going to go a few times for for fun just to get a little taster again since it's been a few years since I was last on the ice and then I will actually start training hopefully 3 times per week. It's a big task for me to do seeing as I already have a busy life and not a lot of free time, I like it that way though, whenever I do get free time I always enjoy it lots because of that. In all honesty I will struggle for a while. I think it will take me 6 months before I can even skate at a good speed while keeping control but it's something outside the box for me and I have always enjoyed going to ice skating. I may even surprise myself and pick it up really quickly. Highly doubt it though.

TRIPS
I am a travel lover. I must take after my Mum in that way seeing as she always wants to go away somewhere. I don't have any full year schedule yet but I am maybe going to be taking great trips to these places:
London - I love London and was already there this year, great place, lots of stuff to do
Newcastle - The people are awesome and I'm usually down there every Spring
Toronto - Been ten years but that would be so awesome, hopefully I'll get the chance

As I said they are just maybe at the moment but would be good to get away a bit more this year.

VIDEO GAMES
I have spoke about my love for video games in my previous blogs and that love hasn't ended. It just sucks a bit that I don't get the opportunity to play as much as I use to. As a result of not playing my skills and motivation as been a let down. I am a fighter though and I am going to come back strong on my xbox. I want to really get better at football games, I'm a good player but I need to adapt to the newest versions of the game something a little bit tricky just now. While we are on the topic of football games I am having a sort of crisis between Pes 2012 and Fifa 12. I got Pes for Christmas but haven't liked it that much, they made it so difficult and too real. I like it to be a good game but I still want it to be a video game at the end of the day, there is a time for proper realy football and that's down the local park and football team. I managed to try Fifa and I did enjoy it, online is huge for me and Pes it's just shocking for that so I may have to buy Fifa. Not fully decided yet but let's hope I make a good decision.

MUSIC
Been really working hard with my music, especially my singing. I only started properly doing in two years ago and my voice wasn't that good but I have really improved and although I still ain't a good singer I'm well above average. I have a better range with my voice now and hearing myself back I still need more emotion in my singing and have to learn to breath a bit better so it comes out clearer. This is all part of the learning process. My guitar is coming along decent, quite a tough thing to get the hang of but I can play a handful of songs now. My have been playing piano a couple of months and managed to pick that up really well, I have to admit that is my favourite instrument, just the sound off it is amazing. I just need to practice as much as I can at it and hopefully I'll get better each year.

Austin Mahone Concert
I just wanted to let you know about the Austin Mahone Concert. First of all Austin Mahone is a guy from America who started up his Youtube channel about a year ago a rose to fame very quickly. He hasn't been signed yet(As far as I know) but has probably the biggest fan base for an unsigned artist. I respect him, he's got his own style and is also a Belieber which I think is really cool. Quite a lot of guys would probably be a fan of Justin but don't as they just go with the flow but me, him and a good few more ain't like that. Don't get me wrong a lot of guys just don't Justin due to music and stuff which is fair enough but I have no doubt other guys deep down do but don't admit it. Anyway I reckon Austin will go far and like Justin he has a big girl fan base. So listen up girls, his concert is on 14th February 2012, I believe his concert is sold out but their is an online streaming where you pay a few quid to watch, his Twitter page will have more details:
www.twitter.com/austinmahone

Have a good weekend guys and my laptop is about to crash as battery is lower than 7%. Haha it's scary when that message pops up.

Everything Is Way Open Minded These Days

As years have been going there has been major changes in the way people approach life. I feel it's at a very good place how it currently is, everything isn't seen as one way or another now and I have noticed people are more open on certain topics these days than what they would have been say even thirty years ago. I have made up a list of some factors I see as being good in todays society and some I believe need change.

In Favour Of:

1) I love the fact how people actually have a lot of fun in their life and don't really worry as much. By doing research I found that people felt guilty about enjoying themselves which sounds crazy to me, as long as you are not harming anyone by having fun then that is a good thing.
2) Music is part of every country whether you live in America or live in Japan all peoples from totally different walks of life love music. One of the reason I really enjoy listening to music is that it tells a story in an artistic way. I'm very into the modern way of how the music world is, I feel auto-tune is good if used in the correct manner, I like how places like Youtube and talent shows give the average person that platform to become big.
3) Health benefits, this more aimed at Britain but I just find it sad how some people would need help sooner but couldn't get it due to not having the money to pay, that is why I will always be happy about how our system works.

Changes Needed:
1) We need the death penalty, I'm all about forgiving people regardless of what they have done because I believe that's what God would do so although I don't want to cause pain on anyone I do 100% believe if we had a death penalty system you would see the murders of innocent people decrease a lot. Let's face it, nobody deep down wants to die so it would make these criminals think twice about their actions.
2) I think the drinking age in our country should be down to 16 years old. Some of the stuff you are able to do at this age and then you ain't allowed to drink, just doesn't add up. Quite a lot of people aged 16/17 drink anyway so you are just as well to make it legal so it saves the any hassle.
3) Driving should be 21. I think some young people are really good at driving considering how long they have been but I also think some are really bad. Most crashes you hear of come from young people behind the wheel, I think if this moved up a few years we would save a few lives. I can't really see this law changing though and I do think 17 is a reasonable age to drive but I think the few years on would really help.

So apart from that I getting ready to play some TCOOP Events, not exactly sure on which ones I will be playing but I will write a whole blog on it.

I have also been playing a few games of Pes 2012 each night online to try and get back to the player I use to be, it's difficult now though as I have a lot of stuff going on in my life in a good way so until I get the chance to fully get back into it I won't be playing any official tournaments.

2012 Happy New Year

Well can't believe how fast 2011 and since I didn't stay out late last night I'm up nice and early to write this blog

2011 was a pretty good year for me, met a lot of top people and I went amazing holidays to places and also managed to learn guitar, learn keyboard, go to college, workout a lot and so many more things that went well

I find that I don't do new years resolutions as I prefer to just set goals to do all year round instead of just at the start of the year, I feel that just saying your going to something because it's new year doesn't mean your gonna do it.

From this year I would like to have fun like the other years and be in good health. I don't have any set plans yet but I'm down London in a few days, might be going to Toronto in a few months and I'm getting a new camera soon

I hope you have a great year and when things go bad just relax about them, the more you worry the worst they become so stay positive, trust me it helps:)
